Tamil Quotes Image Maker
தமிழ் மேற்கோள் படம்
Type or paste Tamil, choose a style and save your quote image.
Paste Tamil, or turn on Phonetic and type vanakkam then space. Text stays in this tab.
Try vanakkam→வணக்கம் with Phonetic on, then press space.
Make a Quote Image in Three Steps
- Write the quote. Paste Tamil from a document or message, or enable Phonetic for English-letter input. A space converts the word you just typed. Use your keyboard’s Enter key to keep a deliberate line break, such as the end of a verse.
- Choose the layout. Start with the square Post size for a short quote. Use Story when you need more vertical room. Adjust text size and line height until the quote has breathing space. Add an author only when you want a credit or signature.
- Save and check. Download PNG or JPG, open the saved image and check the Tamil letters and line breaks. Share Image opens your device’s sharing options when file sharing is supported. Otherwise it downloads the image.
The preview and downloaded file come from the same canvas. The preview is scaled down to fit your screen; the export keeps the selected pixel dimensions. Changing a control regenerates the image, so wait for “Ready to download” before saving.
Choose the Right Canvas and Background
The three canvas sizes serve different layouts. Post is a square at 1080 × 1080. Story is a tall portrait at 1080 × 1920. Landscape is a wide rectangle at 1200 × 630. These names help you compose; they do not guarantee that every app will show the entire image. Check the destination’s crop before posting, especially around its top and bottom controls.
Plain Paper leaves the background white. Deep Green reverses the text to white. Green Gradient gives the exported image a gradual shift from green to dark ink. Textured Paper adds a fine procedural fibre pattern. Ruled Notebook adds horizontal writing lines and a margin rule, with Kavivanar as its handwriting-style Tamil face. All other styles use the site’s Anek Tamil font.
Backgrounds are drawn in the browser. There is no stock-photo search, background image upload or external image service. The exported palette stays the same when you switch the website between light and dark mode.
Keep Tamil Text Readable
Begin with a short quote and a generous text size. Centre alignment works for a compact thought. Left alignment often makes a longer passage easier to scan, while right alignment can suit a signature-led composition. Line height controls the distance between baselines; increase it if vowel signs feel crowded.
The renderer waits for the selected font before drawing. It prefers spaces when wrapping, then breaks a long unspaced word at grapheme boundaries instead of cutting its underlying code points apart. Tamil sequences such as க்ஷ, ஸ்ரீ, கொ, கௌ are useful checks when reviewing an exported image. A font still determines their final shapes.
If the text is too tall for the available space, the tool disables export and explains how to fix it. It does not silently shrink your chosen type size. Author text wraps separately below the quote. Leave some space around a long author credit, or shorten it before increasing the quote size.
PNG is the default for sharp text and line work. JPG is also available at a fixed quality setting. Neither export creates editable text layers. Keep a separate copy of the original quote if you want to revise it later: this tool keeps your text only while this page remains open and does not save a draft.
Questions People Ask
How do I make a Tamil quote image?
Paste a quote in the editor, choose an image size and background, then select Download. Check the preview before sharing. You can add your name or an author credit below the quote. Review line breaks and the credit line in the preview, then download the finished image.
Can I type Tamil using English letters?
Yes. Turn on Phonetic, type an English-letter spelling such as vanakkam, and press space. The completed word changes to Tamil. Turn the toggle off for English text or an author name. Proofread the completed words before downloading; the image contains the displayed spelling, including any typing mistakes.
Can I remove the watermark?
Yes. Uncheck Include typetamilonline.com. It is on by default, but removing it is free. The author line is a separate optional setting. Check the preview after changing either setting. Removing the website credit does not add an author name, and entering an author name does not switch the website credit off.
Which size should I use for a status or story?
The Story option exports a portrait image at 1080 × 1920 pixels. Post is a 1080 × 1080 square. Landscape is 1200 × 630. These are export sizes; your destination app controls cropping and compression. Check the complete quote fits the chosen preview before downloading it.
Why is the Download button disabled?
The image may still be rendering, the quote may be empty, or the text may not fit. Read the status below the tool. Reduce the font size, shorten the quote or choose the taller Story size. Wait for the updated preview before trying the button again.
Is the notebook font free to use?
The notebook style uses Kavivanar, distributed under the SIL Open Font License. The font licence is linked below. You remain responsible for having permission to publish the quote itself. Choosing that background also changes the text’s appearance, so check wrapping and the author line again before downloading your image.
Can I download the Tamil quote as PNG or JPG?
Yes. Choose PNG or JPG under File format before selecting Download. The preview uses the image size you selected, so check the quote and author line at that size first. Download creates an image rather than an editable text document; keep a separate copy of the wording if you need revisions later.
How do I put my name below a Tamil quote?
Enter your name in Author (optional) and check the preview before downloading. This field is separate from the website credit checkbox, so you can show a signature with or without that credit. Long names take space too; shorten the author line or reduce the quote size if the image no longer fits.
Can I use my own photo as the quote background?
No. This version offers the backgrounds listed in its Background selector and does not have a photo upload control. Choose one of those styles and adjust alignment, text size and line height. If you need a photograph behind the wording, use an image editor that supports photo backgrounds.
Why do my Tamil quote lines wrap differently in the preview?
The maker wraps text to the space available in the selected image size. Changing size or text size therefore changes line endings. Insert deliberate line breaks in Your quote when you want separate lines, then check the preview again. Reduce text size or choose Story if the complete quote will not fit.
